Because Halloween is approaching, today I’m discussing some of the benefits of pumpkin.

Both the pulp and seeds of pumpkin are rich in magnesium, which is an important mineral required for various biological functions. Magnesium is also required for the maintenance bones and teeth.

3. Anti-inflammatory Effect

The Beta carotene present in pumpkin seeds and flesh has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Regular consumption of pumpkin can protect against joint inflammation and arthritis.

4. Great for your skin

The high amount of Vitamin A, C and E as well as Zinc present in pumpkin, make it a great choice for those who want a healthy and glowing skin.

Face Mask: 2 teaspoons cooked pumpkin, one-half teaspoon honey, one-quarter teaspoon milk. Combine the ingredients. Mix gently and apply to your face avoiding the eye area. Rest and relax for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

5. Good Against Intestinal Parasites

In various cultures, especially China, pumpkins are used to treat infections caused by tapeworms and other parasites.

  1. There are lots of great ways to eat pumpkin, other than pie – I particularly like pumpkin soup and even pumpkin salad! Pumpkin seeds are valuable for men and what ails, them, too. Good to remember at this time of year . Boo!
