The New Year is almost here. I propose you one last easy recipe for this year that you can savor while you’re watching TV or partying with your friends. I wish you all the best, have a wonderful year and we see each other in 2014.
1/2 cup good-quality chopped dark chocolate
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup mushroom popcorn kernels
salt (for sprinkling)
How It’s Made?
Step 1: In a saucepan put the chocolate and the butter. Once the chocolate has melted and you’ve stirred it smooth, remove the pan from the heat.
Step 2: Line one or two baking sheets with waxed paper.
Step 3: Heat the oil in your popcorn popper or in a deep pot placed over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the popcorn kernels; begin stirring or shaking the pot right away to make sure each kernel is coated. Cover the pot and cook until the popping sounds slow down, with long pauses in between.
Step 4: Immediately transfer the popcorn to the baking sheet(s), spreading it in an even layer.
Step 5: Cover the popcorn with melted chocolate.
Step 6: Sprinkle lightly with salt. Let the chocolate set before serving or storing.
