Celebrating the First Day of Spring

I know that officially the beginning of spring, in the northern hemisphere, is marked by the Vernal Equinox, on March 20. Here, in Romania, we celebrate Spring earlier and the nature seems to agree with us.

      1. There’s a beautiful sunset overhere, after a rather cloudy day. It soon will be sunny again in Romania. Or, wait, take a look in the mirror πŸ˜‰

  1. We have snow, snow, snow. However, they are starting to talk about the beginning of the maple syrup season, so it won’t be long until spring! Jane

    1. Thanks Sophie! Happy Spring! We celebrate it on March the 1st and we offer, as a gift, flowers and the thing that we call ‘martisor’ (I’m not sure, but I guess it’s called a trinket in English). It’s a piece of jewelry that has attached to it, a white and red string.
