The kumquat is a citrus fruit that closely resembles the orange, but is much smaller and oval-shaped. Cultivated in China, Japan and Taiwan, it is commonly used in making marmalade and jelly.

  1. You can squeeze them a little until some of the juice comes out through the skin, roll them in sugar, and eat them whole. Takes some of the edge off the sour.
