Hello everyone and a Happy New Year! I hope that in 2016, all your wishes will come true and may the New Year give you strength to face the challenges of life.
You should start the New Year with a short “cleanse” to help you eliminate toxins, wake up the digestive system and prepare your body for a healthier way of eating. In the upcoming 14 days, I will come daily with a nice recipe you can try during your detox plan. This is the first day and my recommendation for today is this amazing goji berry and Rosehip lemonade.
Things to avoid during this detox period:
- red meat, chicken, pork and any meat products like sausages, burgers and pate
- milk, cheese, eggs, cream
- butter, margarine
- crisps and savory snacks
- chocolate, sweets, jam and sugar
- processed foods, bread, croissants, biscuits, pies, pastry
- sauces, pickles, mayonnaise
- alcohol, coffee and fizzy drinks
Until tomorrow, here is the goji berry and Rosehip lemonade recipe. Enjoy!
1 tablespoon dried goji berries
1 tablespoon dried Rosehip shells without seeds
1 medium orange
a piece of fresh ginger
400 ml water
Stevia extract to the taste
How It’s Made?
Step 1: Soak the goji berries and rosehip shells in water for at least one hour.
Step 4: Add the citrus juice, the water and the stevia extract into the blender (over the paste) and blend on high until everything is completely mixed.
Step 5: Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
