This warm salad is amazing during colder times and it’s easy to make and goes well into a detox plan. Lentils are one of the easiest legumes to digest and have been shown to reduce belly fat, while mushrooms, reduce blood pressure and boost the immune system.
How It’s Made?
Step 1: Cover the lentils with water and bring to a boil. Simmer the lentils on low heat until they are tender and cooked (about 20-25 minutes).
Step 2: Once cooked, drain lentils and set aside.
Step 3: Chop the onion and the mushrooms into medium pieces.
Step 4: Heat the olive oil into a pan then cook onion until translucent.
Step 5: Add mushrooms, chopped garlic cloves and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 6: Mix the lentils with the mushrooms, season with lemon juice, salt, pepper and thyme.
Step 7: Serve warm and enjoy!
